About Us

Hello, I am Heather Comstock, wife of 29 years, mother of four, daughter of parents that share our home. Arcadian Hill Handmade was born in the chilly winter of 2022, in the Keweenaw (Key-when-aw) Peninsula, the northernmost tip of Michigan. I thought it would be fun to learn to make soap with my homeschooled tweens and teens over Christmas vacation. We had a lot of fun and things kept snowballing, which is no surprise with the amount of snowfall we get each year! 

 This is far more than just a business for our family. Our homeschooling days are done, but my young adult children (3 still at home) still benefit from me being present to listen or cook with. My parent's suite is just down the hall from my workshop and I am on call when they need. I feel so incredibly blessed by God to get to work with my hands and mind, and also remain the hub with which my family stays connected. The products that I am so proud to research, design, and create are a lovely, healthy addition to our lives and I hope to yours, as well.

 In a day and age where you don't know what or whom you can trust, I give you my promise that I will only sell products that I have handcrafted from scratch, and are used by every member of my family.
