Copper Ingot Soap Bar
What is a Copper Ingot? A solid bar of refined copper. Why is that even a thing? I live in Copper Country. Everywhere I can drive within an hour radius, remnants of copper mining are to be found. It is the defining feature of the Keweenaw (Key-when-aw) Peninsula, in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. If you have ever had the delightful privilege of living or visiting here, you'll understand. We are surrounded with breathtaking beauty way up here in the north. And even though copper mining has all but ceased, we love the old ruins, the mighty machines that now lay silent, the deep, dark tunnels that lay hidden under our feet.
This copper ingot-inspired soap (2.6oz) has no copper in it (thank me now!). But the cool and quirky shape is indeed nearly identical to copper ingots produced at one of the local mines of yesteryear. The letters stamped on the top are my business initials: AHH for Arcadian Hill Handmade. All the mines put their initials on their ingots to prevent theft and aid identification.
If you love good, clean ingredients in your skin care, yep, me too. So it's not just a fun conversation starter or gift, it's actually really great soap! Enjoy!
